The Executive Committee for the Wellington Maori Cultural Society (WMCS) keeps the Society steadfast towards its vision, its purpose, obligations, commitment and responsibilities. The Executive Committee consist of:
CHAIR - Merlene Maxwell-Wehi

Iwi/Hapū: Ngāi Tai, Ngāti Porou, Kahungunu ki te Wairoa. Chairperson for the Wellington Maori Cultural Society. Involved in kapa haka for many years.
IWI RELATIONS – Kura Moeahu

Iwi/Hapū: Te Atiawa, Ngāti Ruahine, Taranaki tūturu, Ngāti Mutunga, Ngāti Tama, Ngāti Toa. Iwi relations for the Wellington Maori Cultural Society. Involved in kapa haka for many years.
FINANCIER – Para Hiroti

Iwi/Hapū: [Iwi / hapu affiliation] The financial manager of accounts for the Wellington Maori Cultural Society. Involved in kapa haka for many years.
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT – Te Amohaere Reihana

Iwi/Hapū: Ngāti Porou, Ngāi Tai. The executive assistant for the Wellington Maori Cultural Society. Involved in kapa haka for many years.
ROHE MĀNGAI KI TE MATATINI – Te Teira Davis

Iwi/Hapū: Ngai Tūhoe, Ngāti Awa. Rohe boundary consists of The wider Wellington to Ōtaki across to Rimutaka and Te Awakairangi. I have been māngai for Te Whanganui-ā-Tara for approx 18 months. My role is to represent Te Whanganui-ā-Tara as a national Te Matatini rep and report back to the Wellington Maori Cultural Society matters and issues pertaining to Kapa Haka. It is to encourage, nurture and maintain growth as well as support Kapa Haka in the rohe.
